"Spirits" marks the beginning of a series of music videos I created between 2015 and 2017 under the alias testvvave. It was my debut directing and producing a music video entirely on my own.

Inspired by the eerie track of Leipzig-based musician Blac Kolor, the visuals for "Spirits" unfold a narrative woven with improvisation. Fragmented glimpses ensnared by shafts of light immerse viewers in a realm of dark mystery, revealing a procession of distorted mystical symbols hidden within the shadows of a sinister forest.

The video is characterized by minimalist black-and-white aesthetics, employing techniques of stop motion, light painting, and experimental visual effects.
